I found out today Mike Dostal’s wife, Megan will have brain surgery next week to remove a brain tumor. One of Mike and Megan’s friends set up the below Go Fund Page to help offset the medical and family cost. I encouraging the paddling community that Mike has been part for the last several years, to support Mike and Megan. Any amount is helpful and it all add up. The goal is $8,000 but one that goal has been reached, you can still donate.  Mike and Megan have two beautiful kids, and live in Western Massachusetts.

I met Mike a few years ago when he got into paddling transitioning from being on on the British National Rowing Team. In a few short years, Mike became one of the top surfski paddlers on the East Coast and a top K1 paddler, representing the USA Marathon Team a few years ago. I met Megan and their kids a couple of years ago at the Blackburn. Mike is one of the most talented and humble people I know. Your support will be so much appreciated by Mike, Megan, his family, and his friends.  So contribute what you can.
