Blackburn Challenge July 14, 2012

We are all looking forward to the Blackburn Challenge. We will have 2 of the top paddlers on the East Coast Reid Hyle and Borys Markin in a Rematch of last years East Coast Surfski Championship where Borys edged out Reid by a mere 5 seconds in a flat water duel. Due to the impending hurricane,the race had to be moved to the Seekonk River.  The Blackburn will be new to both paddlers while to many local paddlers it will be a repeat of many years of doing the course such stalwarts Dana Gaines,Ed Duggan and Mike Tracy who have done the course many,many times.  Hope every can join us there.  This race is the biggest race on the East Coast that includes boats of all categories: rowing, kayaks, dories, surfskis, paddleboards, and more.
