USCA Marathon National Championships are Returning to New England in August 2016

The New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association (NECKRA) is hosting the USCA National Championships at the Northfield Mountain Recreational and Environmental Center in Northfield, MA.

Come for three days of marathon racing (August 12th-14th, 2016) with championship competition for canoe, kayak, surfski and SUP. For the younger paddlers, sprint races will be held on Thursday August 11.

This is the course shot with Peter Heed, President of the USCA, for the USCA‘s 2016 National Canoe & Kayak Championships August 11-14, 2016. Event will be held in Northfield, MA, on the Connecticut River and hosted by the New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association (NECKRA). This course is a deep water course with the exception of on the tip of the island. Surf skiers can just take the turn wider for deeper water. This fall we did the Meltdown Race on most of this course as well. I included that video I made as well. This will be one of the Premier events on the East Coast for 2016 with many different classes of boats including kayaks, surfskis, canoes and more. It should draw over 300 paddlers.
